You’ve seen Dead Silence. You’ve seen Magic and Dead of Night. If you’re a real straight-to-DVD masochist, you may even have seen The Dummy and Triloquist. But can anything prepare you for...
Now tell me that’s not the scariest ventriloquist’s dummy you’ve ever seen. I’m not sure about Melbourne Ales putting life into you, so much as The Fear Of God!
I found that newspaper ad in a copy of the Yorkshire Evening News from 1955. The reason behind me posting it? Um... yeah, ya got me there. Although I have been watching 1967’s It! which is all about a murderous statue come to life. So that’s kinda like a deadly dummy, no?
Okay, no. But it does have Roddy McDowall in it... Therefore It! equals automatic joy! Review on the way.

OMG! Not only is that dummy scary, he likes to knock one back too!
I should see if my boyfriend has this It movie. He's a HUGE Roddy McDowall fan (which I think I've mentioned before)... Looking forward to the review!
Love "It." A wonderful miasma of the utterly preposterous and the surprisingly sublime.
I just watched 'Black Devil Doll' last night. The best 66 min of nasty ass black puppet exploitation EVER!
It's not classic horror but one day it might be!
The Devil Doll movie that was highlighted as a MST3K riff was also pretty classic.
I guarantee, "It!" is better than Stephen King's "It." The latter is quite possibly one of the most laughable films I've ever seen.
The It!-lovers are right: It! is great. I now turn my attention back to devil doll movies, beginning with Triloquist, seeing as I already have it recorded from TV.
Oh boy! "It", the movie with Roddy McDowell controlling the Golem. Great film.
